Simona Ghetti

Simona Ghetti is a professor of psychology and investigates the development of memory and meta-memory in children and adolescents. At her Memory and Development Lab, Ghetti uses behavioral and neuroimaging methods to understand mechanisms underlying the ability to recall specific events about one’s own past. This capacity supports mundane yet crucial abilities such as finding ones’ keys, as well as more complex senses ranging from learning mechanisms in the classroom to a sense of continuity of self over time. Thus, it is crucial to understand how episodic memory develops.
